Okay, I had another look at my stats. This time not with the wordpress plugin but the one that was provided by my host. It looks like I have indeed been getting a fair amount of visitors. This is indeed surprising to me. most of them appear to be commercial agents (I suppose bots are also labeled as ‘commercial’ agents).

I’ve not been updating this blog for quite a while. I have a lot of reasons and all of them are good!

First, I’m currently in my final semester so there’s a lot of thing that I have to do. I’m currently working on my Technical Report. It consists of 2 parts; 1st suggest a replacement data format for the Moving Vessel Profiler Data. 2nd; Create a web application that will enable Oceanographic datasets for an organization in my university to be accessible from the web. I’ve used PHP, Javascript, GoogleMap and Google Earth for this project. I learnt a lot about new technologies from the project. I hope it would enable companies to see me in a new light. I’ll post the link to the project site once it’s done. the prototype is fully functional but I would like to see how I can improve it further. I did not use ‘pure’ computer science techniques of development when I was doing this project. I suppose I should have done it at the beginning but I was in a hurry to understand all of the related technologies since I started with near zero knowledge of Web based scripting languages like PHP, Javascript and newer technologies such as GoogleMap and Google Earth.

This project has certainly taught me a lot! I’m glad that I was given the opportunity to do this. In the mean time, Please comment. I know….I want to be needed…lol….ok..jokes aside. It’s end of January so all the best for the remainder of the year!

Looks like the problem that I was having earlier has dissipated. An upgrade to the next version of wordpress fixed it. I’m however still noticing the following error. Anyone know what this means? “Fatal error: Exception thrown without a stack frame in Unknown on line 0″

Everything used to work well before. And I’m getting huge amount of visitors. Is my statistics package wrong? I find it difficult to believe that my page can be gathering so many views. It is inconceivable to have that many visitors and not commenting! So I suppose the visitors being reported are phantom visitors. I’ll worry about that later though. If there are indeed visitors out there, could you please comment on my blog?

Hello Folks,

There has been a lack of posts on my side. There would be for the next few days. Just sorting out certain things on my side. Will be back and running earliest by the end of the week. But definitely by early next week, I’ll be on the ball again.

I had to reformat my laptop due to some things I did. That has reinforced the importance of backing up my data. The next thing that I’ll be doing. Thus that has also contributed to the downtime that this blog has been experiencing.

I’m in my final leg of my academic journey. I hope everything will go well.
