I read your IEEE Paper on “Home Libraries” with much interest.
The “standard” Amazon-Lookup plugin for OpenBiblio is not able to cope too well with CDs while your enhanced version was designed especially for it. Furthermore it seems that your script looks up several sites for information.
Is this enhanced Amazon-Lookup available from you or anywhere else?
I have to apologise for replying to you late. I’ve been quite tardy in updating my site. I hope you’re still visiting this site when this reply is up.
I modified the standard plug (I modified the code) so that it can search other types of data (instead of the standard books, cds and music. I also wrote my own code to parse the xml obtained from Amazon web services and followed the open biblio coding format to store my parsed results (much easier than rewriting open biblio!).
I first obtained the plug in from a web site. I unfortunately cannot recall where I got it from. But I’m certain a search in google will allow you to get it. I later proceeded to modify the ’standard’ plugin so that it can do what I want.
